# Notifications and emails

> What Growth Mention tells you in the app and by email, and when.

Growth Mention keeps notifications few on purpose: one digest a day at most per project, one email a week, and a warning only when there's something for you to fix.

## In the app

The bell in the top bar collects these:

| Notification            | When                                                                                                                       |
| ----------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **First data is in**    | Once per project, when the first answers have been collected.                                                              |
| **Daily digest**        | Once a day per project, when something meaningful moved — see below.                                                       |
| **You've been invited** | When someone adds you to their organization.                                                                               |
| **No data coming in**   | When a project has stopped collecting for a reason you can fix: it has no active prompts, or no AI assistants switched on. |

Outages at the AI assistants aren't notifications — they're ours to handle. A day an assistant was down shows as a gap in the data, not a message. See [How data is collected](/how-it-works#when-an-assistant-is-having-trouble).

## The daily digest

Written after each day ends in UTC, about the day that just finished, and sent to everyone in the organization. It's one notification per project with a line for each thing that changed. If nothing moved enough to matter, there's no digest.

Each day is compared with the **average of the 7 days before it**, not with the day before, because a single day's figures swing on noise alone. A line appears when:

| A marked competitor overtakes you, or you overtake one | By a clear 5-point margin         |
| You reach 25%, 50% or 75% visibility                   | Once, not every time you cross it |
| A brand the answers have never named before appears    | In at least two answers that day  |

Movements are only reported once there are at least 3 earlier days to compare with. Overtakes only cover brands marked as **Competitor** — see [Brands and competitors](/setup/brands-and-competitors).

## By email

| Email             | Who gets it                  | When                                                                                                                                                                                              |

| **Weekly report** | Everyone in the organization | Mondays at 08:00 UTC. Brand visibility and source score for each project against the week before. If Agent Analytics is installed, live fetches and people arriving from AI answers come with it. |
| **Usage alerts**  | The organization's owner     | Once when you pass 80% of the prompts your plan allows, and once when they're all in use. Nothing while you're comfortably under.                                                                 |
| **Invitation**    | The person invited           | When an admin invites someone who doesn't have an account yet. See [Team and roles](/account/team).                                                                                               |

Switch the weekly report and usage alerts on or off under **Settings → Notifications**. The setting is yours alone — it doesn't change what your colleagues receive.
